Alright so it’s getting really annoying seeing all of you talking shit about the Xbox One when all I’m seeing is a bunch of RUMORS. I work at Gamestop & My boss actually had to give me this rundown before my shift Thursday because so many people were coming in trying to talk shit about the Xbox…

Well. Although some of that is true, you missed a few things.

1. Playstation Plus being required to play online games is pretty different from what most PS3 users are used to. However, as a PS+ member since the beginning, I’ve acquired thousands of dollars worth of free games AND cloud storage from the service and to prove that point, we’re getting Drive Club and three indie games for free right off the bat. And each PS+ subscription will be tied to the PS4 console, not account. Which means anyone on that console can play multiplayer. Not to mention it’s absolutely absurd that I have to pay $60 for XB360 to let me use Netflix, a service which I already pay for. Microsoft is trying to copy PS+ by giving away free games. Which are Halo 3 and AC2. Games that have been out for 4+ years. Thanks, Microsoft. You’re really touching my heart. And EACH INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT has to be paid for. Got twins? Sweet, $120. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the same console. Too baaaaddd. (source)

2. The Kinect DOES have to be on at all times. And it has to see/hear you. It must be plugged in and running in order for your system to even turn on. Yes, it comes with the system. Because it is REQUIRED. The PS4 doesn’t come with it’s camera (which is $60, like you said), but it is NOT required for most games. (source)

3. The reason why you were sold out of your Xbox One allotment and not your PS4 allotment is because the allotment has a ratio of 10:1 on PS4’s side. So yeah, not even Gamestop is supporting the Xbox One. Because they know it’s a horrible system. The amount of allotment varies between stores, but you should be getting 10/20+ PS4’s a day as opposed to 4/5 Xbox Ones. (source being personal experience as a Gamestop employee)

Way to really stretch the facts, though. And lie a bit too. But yeah, whatever it takes to try to keep Microsoft afloat, I guess.

Actually, Microsoft has a family plan set up to lessen the blow on households with more than one gamer in it. You can have up to four accounts on it for $100 a year. My house has 4 big gamers in it, so we went from paying $240 a year to $100. But, as a GameStop employee, I would expect you to know that.

Just did a quick search, and it seems that PS+’s 12-month subscription is $50. That’s half the price of Live’s family plan, for a theoretical twice the users, and then some. So even if the only thing we’re looking at is console and internet pricing, getting a PS4 over an XBone will save you $150 ($90 if you want the optional camera), plus an additional $50 every year. And if you’re a little strapped for cash one year, you can drop your internet entirely and still watch Netflix on your TV.

I was pointing it out strickly because of the comment of if you have more than one child, you pay $120. I’m not trying to convince people to get one or the other like you are. STOP IT.
